What can we learn about Jesus from the story of how Father Abraham must sacrifice his unique and beloved son, Isaac? Genesis 22 is a passage that many people struggle to understand. In this most unusual story, God gives Father Abraham the terrifying command to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac. In obedience to God, Abraham takes his son to a hill outside of the future Jerusalem. He watches in grief as his son carries the wood for his own sacrifice up the hill. But at the last moment, God spares Isaac from death by providing a substitute sacrifice! What did God intend to teach Abraham about through this experience?
